As a former project and change manager you would think that I like plans and structure... hmmm, not really!
I love the excitement of new things and different experiences, but within the context of 'the bigger vision'. So that is where the change manager comes into being.
Have the end point in mind and work towards that in the best, most efficient, logical and people centric way. Without people being involved and onboard, there is no point. Well in my world, anyway!
So during this lockdown, I have been thrown from my 'norm'. I've drifted a bit. I had to re-adjust and find my focus and clarity.
I've been busy, but often doing things that I've 'felt like doing' rather than the things that I probably SHOULD have been doing.
And what is this word, SHOULD? Who says I should do anything? I am my own boss...
But I work to support others. My clients are my world. And I know what they need and want from me.
So my SHOULD, was more about my own internal pressure to meet the needs, that I think my clients might be wanting....
But, I was looking after ME.
And now, after three weeks of lockdown I feel ready to start looking after my clients, my future clients and my business.
Probably about time....
And always get plenty of sleep...
